On Sunday, June 2, on the Solemnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ – often referred to as “the Feast of Corpus Christi” – the most Reverend Francis Leo, Metropolitan Archbishop of Toronto led a Eucharistic procession through the streets of downtown Toronto following the Noon Mass at St. Michael’s Cathedral Basilica. A large representation of lay groups and associations took part alongside many clergy and religious. Close to 2,000 members of the Catholic community comprised of parishioners from the cathedral and others throughout the archdiocese joined the procession that both started and finished at St. Michael’s Cathedral Basilica.
